Graduate School [Go to Homepage] Department of Korean Language and Literature   The Department of Korean Language and Literature combines Korean Language and Korean Classical and Modern Literature. Korean Language includes theoretical fields from Ancient Korean to Modern Korean. The graduate courses cover major areas of linguistics. The Korean Literature Program consists of Modern Literature and Korean Classical Literature including Traditional Literature. Modern Literature encourages students to explore the genre including poetry, novel, essay and drama, and Korean Classical Literature studies the art of literature in the past. Department of English Language and Literature   The Graduate Program in English Language and Literature's goal is to prepare graduate students for teaching English language and literature at the college and university levels. The graduate courses in English Language cover major areas of linguistics, including: general linguistics, phonetics/phonology, syntax, morphology, lexical and formal semantics, psycho-linguistics, cognitive linguistics, history of English, history of linguistics, applied linguistics, socio-linguistics and TESOL. The courses in English Literature, while dedicated to the interpretation of the canonical British and American literary texts, encourages theoretical work in the fields of contemporary approaches to literature, including discourse analysis, feminism and cultural criticism. Department of Business Administration   The Graduate School offers an academic Master's program and in Management, such as in accounting, information systems, marketing, international business administration, human resources management, organizational behavior, strategic management, finance and insurance, operation management, and management science. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering   The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers one of the most comprehensive graduate and research programs available. The Department originates from four programs: Computer Information System, Computer Science, Information Communication, and Computer Programming. Department of Chemistry   The department offers an academic Master's program to meet the needs of those majoring in chemistry or allied sciences by rigorous training in the principles and applications of modern chemistry. Department of Engineering   The Master's program in Engineering focuses on producing skilled professionals in the industrial engineering field, meets the increasing demands for continued education at the professional and graduate levels, and provides engineering practitioners with the means to refine and improve upon the latest developments in modern technology. Department of Architecture   The program is intended to promote development of the architecture--architecture is an academic field combining with engineering, technology, arts, and business--professional skill, and social awareness which the architect must command if architecture is to enhance contemporary life and remain an enduring and valid expression of society. Department of Environmental and Chemical Engineering   The faculty of the Department of Environmental and Chemical Engineering offer a graduate program leading to the Master of Science degree. The major is Chemical Engineering with concentrations available in environmental engineering, biochemical engineering, chemical reactor engineering, solid state processing, and energy and materials conversion. Department of Food Technology   Food Technology is a diverse science and technology that includes microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biological engineering, and food processing. Food Technology has its roots in the fundamental human needs of health, food, and environmental control, and it provides opportunities for study in both the basic and applied biological fields of biotechnology. Department of Fine Arts   The department offers academic Master's programs in Oriental Painting, Western Painting, Sculpture, and Visual Communication Design. Each course is designed to prepare students to be artists who can lead professional careers in their fields. Department of Medicine   The department provides students with Master's program designed to prepare them for creative researches, academic leaderships, and distinguished careers in medicine.
